Crafted to express the diversity of Napa’s soils and microclimates, this blend offers the distinctive varietal character for which the appellation has become famous.

Maturation:
One hundred percent oak aged for sixteen months in small American and French barrels.

Tasting Notes:
Big and Rich, this is a truly expressive Napa Cabernet. Rich chocolate with blueberry and raspberry notes, subtle hints of tobacco and leather and the classic dust & berry you find on the nose of most Napa Cabernets.

Food Suggestion:
Soft tannins and great palate structure match this wine perfectly to red meats fresh from the grill, hearty stews, or well seasoned game.

Growing Details:
Monterey County is a patchwork of climates; from cool up in the north to mighty toasty down in the south end. So what better region to put together a patchwork wine like Meritage? We love this style and believe we’ve found the perfect spot to make it.

Maturation:
The full blend of this meritage wine was matured in small, American oak barrels for no less than eighteen months.

Tasting Notes:
We’re firm believers that sometimes the sum of the parts are greater than the individual components. Meritage blends are just that, the perfect marriage of several varieties, each grape bringing out the best in each other and representing the region with the utmost quality.

Food Suggestion:
This wine is well suited for spicy casseroles with beef or chicken and will complement subtle wild rice and lightly seasoned pasta dishes.

Growing Details:
Napa Valley is the king of Californian wine regions, and arguably the king of Merlot. The diverse region is picture perfect at any time of the year and is always a hive of viticultural and winemaking activity. The moderate climate and even ripening conditions are enjoyed by everyone - from the smallest vineyard plots to sprawling, high-pedigree estates.

Maturation:
The full blend of this merlot wine was matured in a variety of oak for fourteen months: American barrels makes up 60% of the aging process, French oak is 20% and Central European oak is 20%.

Tasting Notes:
Dark plum and cherry aromas are edged with notes of licorice, and unfold gradually to subtle, smoky oak. Soft and luscious on entry, with bright, almost sweet flavors of ripe stone fruit. The medium weight and stylish finish are typical of Napa Valley’s finest Merlot.

Food Suggestion:
This wine is well suited for spicy casseroles with beef or chicken and will complement subtle wild rice and lightly seasoned pasta dishes.

Pinot Noir

Growing Details:
Santa Lucia Highlands is creating a serious buzz for the quality of its Pinot and rapidly setting new CA benchmarks. Mild temperatures, cool fogs and hungry soils create wines of terrific intensity.

Maturation:
After fermentation in a combination of stainless steel and barrel, the wine was aged in new, one and two year old French oak for nine months.

Tasting Notes:
Lifted strawberry and sweet ripe raspberry characters attack you on the nose and palate. Subtle dusty overtones with a sweet smokiness help to make this a powerful yet elegant Pinot with plenty of class.

Food Suggestion:
Perfect with just about any game birds or lighter meats such as veal. Try some seared duck breast with exotic mushrooms. Absolutely delicious.

Growing Details:
By spotlighting the best known varietal wines from premium growing regions, this Zinfandel is a geographical example of the synergy between variety, soil, and microclimate in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley.

Eighty eight percent of wine was aged for fourteen months in small oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:
This medium bodied wine has a vibrant, rich color. Crisp raspberry, warm Bing cherry and toffee, and dusty aromas reflect the famous red soils of the benchland and ridgetops of the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County.

Food Suggestion:
Warm red berry flavors and supporting acidity will match this wine nicely to pasta with pesto and lightly seasoned stir fried chicken or pork.

Growing Details:
The warm days, cool, foggy nights and long growing season make Sonoma’s Russian River an marvelous spot to grow Chardonnay that walks the fine line between power and finesse.

Maturation:
Stainless steel fermented for freshness (with only a small component barrel fermented) and then aged in small French oak for eight months for complexity and softness. Subtle amounts of ML help give this wine great body and structure.

Tasting Notes:
Soothing tropical fruit with subtle bursts of mineral weave through the palate. Ripe melon and butterscotch round out the rich mouth feel and finish with soft sweet acidity.

Food Suggestion:
Calls for some robust fish such as poached Atlantic Salmon or more delicate meat dishes like grilled pork chops. A great wine to start any occasion in style.

Ample amounts of Sunshine and heat during the day with mild evenings help white varietals to ripen and develop extremely expressive and rich fruit.

Maturation:
Hand crafted blend then stainless steel fermented for freshness (with only a small component barrel fermented). Aged in small French oak for sixmonths for complexity and softness.

Tasting Notes:
Bright citrus and mineral acidity give the wine a fresh, clean backbone. Complimented by a rich and smooth palate to round out the tropical fruit characteristics.

Food Suggestion:
Calls for some robust fish such as poached Atlantic Salmon or more delicate meat dishes like grilled pork chops. A great wine to start any occasion in style.

Riesling


Growing Details:
The long sunlight hours of the growing season, combined with even climate temperatures help produce intensely expressive, yet delicately structured Rieslings. 2006 was an excellent example of the magic produced in the Pacific North West.

Maturation:
Stainless steel fermented for freshness, gentle temperature fluctuations helped to bring fermentation to a close at the proper sugar levels. The wine was then allowed to settle in tank prior to filtration and bottling.

Tasting Notes:
Intense aromas of Apricot and Peach clearly identify this fully ripened Riesling while the luscious palate weight and fresh long finish speak volumes of flavor, structure, balance and depth.

Food Suggestion:
Would pair magically with any spicy food or Pan-Asian cuisine and even light summer salads consisting of sliced green apple, dried cranberries and a rich balsamic vinaigrette.
