Background Information:
Set in the picturesque Clare Valley, the Leasingham tradition evolved from humble beginnings in 1893. Rich soils and cool, moist conditions were perfect foundations for what is today a premium viticultural district. The Leasingham name is synonymous with premium, award winning wines. Leasingham was awarded the prestigious 1995 Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for its 1994 Classic Clare Shiraz, the first time a Clare producer has won this accolade.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red with purple hues and brilliant clarity, and a bouquet that displays intense spice, chocolate and coffee.
The palate shows intense ripe blueberry and raspberry characters with layers of dark chocolate and mocha in the mid palate and a clean, lingering spicy finish. This wine is a Clare Valley shiraz that shows all the hallmark characters of a warm year in the valley with soft, elegant tannins in abundance. A great wine to drink now and/or cellar for the next decade.

Leasingham has historically been recognised for its production of high quality red wine and Leasingham Bin 61 Shiraz represents true regionality and value in the red wine market. With all the hallmarks of the Clare Valley and Leasingham style this wine displays sweet fruit concentration and boldness of structure. The growing season provides a warm ripening period, resulting in the production of intense berry fruits and bold, fine tannins.

Bin 7 Riesling

Background Information:
Set in the picturesque Clare Valley, the Leasingham tradition evolved from humble beginnings in 1893. Rich soils and cool, moist conditions were perfect foundations for what is today a premium viticultural district.

Despite advice to the contrary, Leasingham Wines planted Riesling extensively in the early 1940s. In 1960, this vision led to Leasingham being recognised as the best Riesling producer in South Australia and hence its reputation as a quality wine producer flourished.

Tasting Notes:
Pale straw with green hues and brilliant clarity this Bin 7 Riesling exhibits lifted spicy aromas of kaffir lime and spice. The palate is very fine, tight and concentrated with fleshy citrus fruit, mouthwatering acidity and a long crisp finish. Exhibiting balanced texture and layers of fruit flavour.

Winemaker's Notes:
A cool to mild growing region, with warm days and cool nights during vintage produce an intensity of fruit flavours and fresh natural acidity. Bin 7 is blended from selected parcels of premium, hand-picked grapes sourced from several sub-regions in the Clare Valley, primarily Watervale and Seven Hill.
Cool fermentation of gently pressed free-run juice has resulted in a wine which displays true Riesling freshness and finesse.

Background Information:
Established in 1893, Leasingham Wines has been an integral part of the Clare Valley for over 100 years. Today, Leasingham’s 300 hectares of vineyards located to the north and south of Clare
provide the premium fruit, which along with the winemaking commitment and expertise, enable Leasingham to produce outstanding, award winning regional wines.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red in colour with crimson hues and brilliant clarity, the Leasingham Bin 56 displays lifted perfumed blackberry spice, violet and tobacco leaf aromas. Rich blackberry, blackcurrant and cassis flavours characterize the palate. Fine grain tannins and spicy oak are well integrated across the palate with persistent
flavour and texture definition. This wine will improve with careful cellaring for up to 10 years.

Winemaker’s Notes:
The Leasingham Bin 56 Cabernet Sauvignon upholds a Clare Valley tradition. Depicting the hallmarks of the Clare and Leasingham style. The season is characterized by warm ripening conditions and dry days, allowing the fruit to ripen evenly and display true varietal flavour and concentration. Fruit is harvested between 12.5 and 14 degrees Baume. Wine maturation is optimized in a blend of French and American oak barriques for approximately 18 months.

Classic Clare Cabernet Sauvignon

Set in the picturesque Clare Valley, the Leasingham tradition evolved from humble beginnings in 1893. Rich soils and cool, moist conditions were perfect foundations for what is today a premium viticultural district.

Tasting Notes:
Deep red with crimson hues, ripe blackcurrant, mint and dark chocolate aromas are evident. A rich palate reveals fleshy, ripe blackberry and blackcurrant flavours. A supple texture with fine,
grainy tannins provides an integrated and generous persistence to this superb wine. The Leasingham Cabernet Sauvignon will improve with careful cellaring for up to 10 years.

Winemaker’s Notes:
The Classic Clare range depicts the pinnacle of excellence.
Fruit was sourced from our 30 year old, dry land Schobers vineyard, and from our 20 year old Provis vineyard. The season provides superb ripening conditions, and produces one of the
highest yielding and highest quality crops. The fruit is harvested between 13.5-14.0 Baume, and fermented on skins in small
open fermenters. The wine is then matured in new French oak
barriques for approximately 18 months.

Leasingham is a highly regarded producer of Riesling and Shiraz in Australia, consistently producing award-winning wines of high quality.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red with purple hues and brilliant clarity, the Leasingham Classic Clare Shiraz shows lifted mulberry fruit with dark chocolate on the nose which is carried through on the palate with concentrated sweet mulberry and raspberry fruits with creamy chocolate and coffee bean. The palate is rich and concentrated and is balanced with fine silky tannins.

Winemaker’s Notes:
The Classic Clare range depicts the pinnacle of excellence. Richly concentrated, this Shiraz epitomises the true essence of the Clare Valley; complexity and elegance.

The fruit is sourced from two of our own vineyards, and was matured in French oak barriques for around 18 months.

This Classic Clare release has excellent concentration and texture with lingering persistence.

This wine is pale straw in colour with brilliant green hues. On the nose the wine shows lifted, fresh pineapple fragrance with citrus spice. The palate shows punchy, ripe lemon, citrus spice with fleshy fruit sweetness. Coupled with fine mouth watering acidity, the finish is fresh and lively. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 5-8 years.

A blend of various sub-regions within the Clare Valley itself, it has been sourced primarily from the North Eastern ridge and Neagles Rock.

This wine is deep ruby red in colour and has brilliant clarity. This wine displays aromas of blackcurrant and mulberry with underlying mint and spice. The juicy blackcurrant flavours come through on the palate combined with hints of spicy characters. The palate has a bold structure with textured tannins which provide balance to the full and fresh fruit characters. Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years.

Sourced from various Clare Valley vineyards extending the length of the valley, the fruit is picked over March and April and is fermented in various stainless steel fermenters and gently air bag pressed. The season allowes for even ripening, retaining fresh fruit flavours and producing wines with structure and concentration.
