The Leasingham name is synonymous with premium, award winning wines. Leasingham was awarded the prestigious 1995 Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for its 1994 Classic Clare Shiraz, the first time a Clare producer has won this accolade.
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red with purple hues and brilliant clarity, and a bouquet that displays intense spice, chocolate and coffee.
The palate shows intense ripe blueberry and raspberry characters with layers of dark chocolate and mocha in the mid palate and a clean, lingering spicy finish. This wine is a Clare Valley shiraz that shows all the hallmark characters of a warm year in the valley with soft, elegant tannins in abundance. A great wine to drink now and/or cellar for the next decade.

Background Information:
Set in the picturesque Clare Valley, the Leasingham tradition evolved from humble beginnings in 1893. Rich soils and cool, moist conditions were perfect foundations for what is today a premium viticultural district.
Despite advice to the contrary, Leasingham Wines planted Riesling extensively in the early 1940s. In 1960, this vision led to Leasingham being recognised as the best Riesling producer in South Australia and hence its reputation as a quality wine producer flourished.
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw with green hues and brilliant clarity this Bin 7 Riesling exhibits lifted spicy aromas of kaffir lime and spice. The palate is very fine, tight and concentrated with fleshy citrus fruit, mouthwatering acidity and a long crisp finish. Exhibiting balanced texture and layers of fruit flavour.
Winemaker's Notes:
A cool to mild growing region, with warm days and cool nights during vintage produce an intensity of fruit flavours and fresh natural acidity. Bin 7 is blended from selected parcels of premium, hand-picked grapes sourced from several sub-regions in the Clare Valley, primarily Watervale and Seven Hill.
Cool fermentation of gently pressed free-run juice has resulted in a wine which displays true Riesling freshness and finesse.

vineyards located to the north and south of Clare
provide the premium fruit, which along with the
winemaking commitment and expertise, enable
Leasingham to produce outstanding, award
winning regional wines.
Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby red in colour with crimson hues and
brilliant clarity, the Leasingham Bin 56 displays
lifted perfumed blackberry spice, violet and
tobacco leaf aromas. Rich blackberry,
blackcurrant and cassis flavours characterize the
palate. Fine grain tannins and spicy oak are well
integrated across the palate with persistent
flavour and texture definition. This wine will
improve with careful cellaring for up to 10 years.

rich palate reveals fleshy, ripe blackberry and
blackcurrant flavours. A supple texture with fine,
grainy tannins provides an integrated and
generous persistence to this superb wine. The
Leasingham Cabernet Sauvignon will improve
with careful cellaring for up to 10 years.

Fruit was sourced from our 30 year old, dry land
Schobers vineyard, and from our 20 year old
Provis vineyard. The season provides superb
ripening conditions, and produces one of the

Baume, and fermented on skins in small
open fermenters.
The wine is then matured in new French oak
barriques for approximately 18 months.
