Red Guitar Background
Centuries ago, the Spanish added a sixth string to a little known instrument of the time, bringing to life what we now know as the guitar. For countless generations since that day music, food and wine have been the fabric of their joyful and vivacious existence.

Red Guitar is a tribute to this incredible Spanish lifestyle; full of the drama, romance, and passion of one of the Old World’s greatest cultures. And the vibrant soul of Spain is best captured by its greatest modern artists and musicians, from Picasso, Dalí and Miró, to Andrés Segovia.

The Region & The Vineyards
Navarra lies directly between the regions of Bordeaux and Rioja, and draws expertise, inspiration and encouragement form the steady traffic of ideas between those regions. Winemaking here traces its roots back to the Romans, who recognized its perfect combination of soil and climate more than 2,000 years ago. Even today, the region is famous for growing the classic grapes of Northern Spain, Tempranillo and Garnacha (Grenache), the one with roots in Spain, the other in Southern France.

Located on the eastern edge of Navarra, surrounding the tiny village of Lerga, lies an incredible legacy of prized old vineyards that have been farmed by the local growers for generations. Here, bush vine Tempranillo and Garnacha have been digging their roots deep into the chalky gravel soils for up to 110 years. Its these gnarly old vines that produce the fruit of great concentration and style for Red Guitar.

The Wine
Tempranillo, Spain’s star native grape, contributes wonderful aromatics and structure, while old vine Garnacha delivers an explosion of ripe fruit characters. Together, the blend creates a rich, powerful wine with black fruit and ripe raspberry characters and a long, smooth finish.

Made by Bodegas ADA, a small producer devoted to quality and innovation that has emerged in recent years a leading winery in the region of Navarra. Here, Carlotta Orradre - one of Spain’s young rising female winemaking stars – oversees the prized vineyard resources and winemaking for the Red Guitar blend.
